Inverness® Ear-Piercing System

Gentle, sterile, and safe

1. Unlike loud piercing guns that shoot a spring-loaded piercing earring through the tissue, our hand-pressured instrument is smooth and quiet.

2. Inverness pierces your ears and attaches our exclusive Safety Back™ in one quick, smooth motion.

3. Our piercing earrings are specially-designed with ultra-thin piercing posts & a finely honed piercing tip to help the earrings glide through the lobe as easily as possible.

Inverness Ear Piercing – FAQs

What is the Inverness Ear Piercing System?

The Inverness System is a gentle, sterile ear piercing method that uses a fully enclosed, hand-pressured instrument and pre-sterilized, hypoallergenic earrings. It’s designed for safety, comfort, and precision.

Is the Inverness system safe for children and babies?

Yes, the manufacturer states that Inverness is safe for all ages, including infants, due to its sterile design and gentle technique.

What materials are the earrings made from?

We carry Inverness earrings made from medical-grade stainless steel, medical-grade titanium, and 24k gold-plated finishes—all selected for safety and sensitivity.

Does it hurt?

Most describe the sensation as a quick pinch. The system is designed to be quieter and more comfortable than traditional piercing instruments.

How long does it take to heal?

Earlobes: Approximately 6 weeks

Cartilage: Approximately 12 weeks

Healing time may vary by individual.

What does the piercing service include?

  • Single-use sterile piercing earrings
  • Professional ear piercing using the Inverness system
  • Aftercare solution
  • Printed aftercare instructions

Are there medical conditions that could affect piercing?

Please consult your doctor before piercing if you have any of the following:

  • Bleeding disorders (e.g., hemophilia)
  • History of keloid or hypertrophic
  • scarring
  • Metal allergies
  • Immune disorders
  • Pregnancy
  • Diabetes

What's the cost?

Can I get my ear re-pierced, where it closed?

Re-piercing in the same spot may work if tissue is healthy. Use surgical steel, titanium, or gold studs to reduce irritation. A professional will prioritize safety, comfort, and suggest alternatives if needed as there can be a greater risk of infection.
